I would like to say things have settled around here with the departure of my folks after a two week visit. I feel like I’m in constant catch-up mode. The rest of the family arrives from Northern Ireland in three weeks! Summer just goes too fast.
The laundry was waist deep. Folded, thanks to my Mother, but stacks of it around.
Sewing was put to the side for the most part, but I did sash the rectangles in linen and sew them together. I got the final idea for the layout here. Now they will all get a thin border of turquoise and finally be encased in some green grass Kona. I purchased some fabrics for the back as well.
We all escaped to Whidbey Island and enjoyed a steady stream of friends and family. The usual of sunset strolls on the beach, farmer’s markets, food and drink.
Did I mention fabric shopping? I would have sauntered right by this wee shop full of goodies had my husband not exclaimed, “Oh no, a fabric shop.”
Score on the OOP fabric. I was so pleased.
Now onto some sewing for the day!
