I managed to sneak in some sewing yesterday afternoon. My second block for my bird quilt.
I tried hard to keep with the Nothing But Scraps Rules, but as usual found myself wishing for more. I have variety to choose from, so it seems silly to not use exactly what I want.
The bird is from Alexander Henry’s Paloma line. I haven’t seen it in quite some time. If anyone has it in the white background I would love to trade just a bird. Now that I really look, I represented a fair amount of Alexander Henry fabrics, a bit of Amy Butler, the “suns” are Kaffe Fasset and the monkey flannel Moda.
Happy Tuesday to ya!
It looks amazing. Love the fabric combos.
andi 🙂
No blame for using fabrics you did. They are absolutely beautiful and I think every single one is bird related. The blue on the edges look like filled with hard boiled egg halves. The others are matching the flowers on the main bird fabric perfectly.
How sweet! I love the colors of this one!
Love it! Can’t wait to see it finished!
I love bird fabric! This is great!
I like it very much!
Really lovley block. That’s going to be a great quilt.
I really like the combination of fabrics in this one. Your fabric is there to be used. I like using up scraps but there is no point ignoring the other fabric you have. After all you want the quilt to be the best it can be! Even partially using scraps is a good thing!
By the way did you sign up for the Rock and Roll marathon? Sounds like a really fun race.
Love it! You have the most gorgeous bird fabrics, I’m green with envy. I love the AH raindrop fabric too, it would go with almost anything. Can’t wait to see the next block! 🙂
Really cute! This quilt will be great.
