We’ve been rather socked in by fog the past week here on the Panhandle. Today was the first real beach day complete with sun-kissed cheeks. Still waiting for that perfect beach shot, but this one from almost two years ago is a favorite.
That pretty much covers the beach. More tomorrow.
So to pass the fog time we have been playing with Santa’s gifts. Roan asked Santa to bring him a camper this year. I’m a little stumped as to why this request was uttered. Being tent kind of people, I was challenged.
Here’s what Santa’s elves came up with.
If you haven’t discovered Nuudles yet and have a wee one to entertain, buy yourself a bag at Joann Fabrics. Better yet, get their 40% off coupon and buy two bags. They’re made of corn starch. Wet on a damp towel and build away. When the projects “disappear”…the dog ate it.
We scored these Dinosaur Game Cards by iplay on our trip to Vancouver and have actually moved beyond “Go Fish.” With a single deck you can play eight different games. Plane, train and restaurant, these have been worth their weight in gold.
Of course the day could not dawn with out a little bit of coloring and these triangular crayons have helped Roan’s fine motor skills along a bit. And yes, I’m an aweful mom and haven’t cut his nails this week.
And of course the good stuff. A fabric store trip to Panama City. Picked up these tidbits. I could just sit and stare at the orange flower one. Luckily the store didn’t really cater to my taste and I made it out with a few fat quarters. The red geometric one I have been putting off buying. I saw it on the front cover of this month’s Quilting Arts issue and decided its time had come.
Wow, that’s A LOT of photos. And I’ll leave you all with a puppet show.
