I am taking a break from sewing slings. They are very time consuming, and we have much coming up with a surgery, plus “the kids” (brother-in-law and family) coming across the pond from Northern Ireland for their annual invasion. Adding two adults and two children under the age of six to 840 square feet doesn’t lend itself to adding a sewing machine. Maybe I’ll try my hand at some needlecraft?… Hoping to make some time for some pillow cases with this tutorial to gift them and match the quilts I made for them last year.
These are the last three slings of the Summer, unless I catch a bug. I will be posting some in my Shop as available. I have a few quilts in mind. Some that need to be quilted, and I MUST/NEED to get my Etsy Shop together. I have also really been intending to set aside some time to make Roan a quilt.
This is an older Valorie Wells print. I believe it is called “Dahlia” with the coordinating stripe print of the line. I have some coordinates and have always wanted to quilt the Bento Box Quilt with it.
This is one of the Morning Glory in the tangerine color way by Amy Butler. A baby shower gift for a girlfriend that I’ve known from preschool to roommates in college.
This is one of the new Joel Dewberry’s. The client I made this for provided the fabric and I have yet to explore this new line. I was quite taken by his colorway when I show it at the quilting shop. Must resist, Must resist.
I have been wanting to make some slings from Amy Butler’s Nigella in the home decorated weight and I am sure to add it to my pile of projects.
