I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with some people who have really mattered in the earlier years of my life. Technology has some fun features, and some time-suck. None the less I love Flickr, blogging and Facebook for keeping those I love close to the day to day activities of my family, and us a look into theirs.
Due to reconnecting, Roan and I were able to spend a brief, but wonderful four hours with a junior high/high school buddy Anneka and her partner. Having written a paper on the architect Richard Haag’s transformation of Gas Works from an industrial toxic zone to the park it is today, Anneka gave me more of a tour of Gas Works Park than I had ever given. Our hood is so great for walking and exploring with company. The weather has been cooperating so well that there is no need to get in the car.
