Julia Child’s Buttery Pie Crust

This is the only pie crust recipe I’ve ever followed. I understand it’s how you make it, keep the ingredients cold and don’t overwork it, that makes a good pie crust. I mass produce crusts when I make them and stick the extras in the freezer.

This is our rendition of my friend Linda’s pasta salad. She made this for a party we attended on our vacation to Santa Fe in 2005.

*2 pounds smaller potatoes*olive oil*salt and pepper*1/4 pound fresh summer beans*1/2 pint cherry tomatoes, halved*cup or so of salad greens (I like mache)*12 olives (your choice)chopped*small package goat cheese
